Service

The Service page lists all services running on the managed servers, with the following options provided for you to further view the service details according to your needs. To view specific service information, you can enter a keyword in the upper-right search bar or click to filter services by group.

Definition of the service status is provided below.

Enabled: Service is enabled on the managed server and is operating normally.

Abnormal: Issues have occurred to the service running on the managed server. Select the service in this status and click View Details to trigger the window with further details. You can select the server in abnormal status and click Go to Server to go to the corresponding server's Control Panel, where you can view and modify the service settings.

Temporarily Unavailable: Service is temporarily unavailable because it is undergoing activation, reloading, or deactivation process.

Disabled: Service is disabled on the managed server.

Incompatible DSM Version: When the value in this column is not 0, it means that the DSM version on one or multiple servers are earlier than DSM 7.0 and thus some service information cannot be collected.
Note: This status is hidden by default.

Note:

When the service status on all servers are Enabled, services are listed by service name in alphabetical order; when the services are in any of the other statuses, the services are listed sequentially according to the number of servers (from most to least) in Abnormal, Temporarily Unavailable, and Disabled service status.

To view or edit the services of a managed server, sign in to its DSM and go to Control Panel > File Services and Control Panel > Terminal & SNMP.

Services of servers in Connection unavailable status will not be counted or shown in the Service page.

The CMS Host can sign in to its managed servers via the Go To Server button only when the PC used for operating the CMS Host can connect to the managed server. You can refer to this article for troubleshooting if you cannot sign in to the managed servers from the CMS Host's Go To Server button.
