<body><h1>Storage</h1>
<p>The <strong>Storage</strong> page displays the volume, drive, and shared folder information of each managed server, allowing you to instantly view and manage the relevant information and settings. To filter servers by groups, status, or volume usage, you can go to the <strong>Volume</strong>, <strong>Drive</strong>, or <strong>Shared Folder</strong> tab and enter the keyword of a hostname or go to the <strong>Shared Folder</strong> tab and enter a shared folder name in the upper-right search bar or click <img class="inline" style="vertical-align:middle" src="../image/CMS_magify.png" width="" height="15" />.</p>
<h2>Volume</h2>
<p>The <strong>Volume</strong> tab displays the volume status, volume usage, and the available volume capacity of a managed server, as well as shows the storage pool on which the volume is located. All the volumes on a server will be displayed. Click on a volume and the corresponding information of the drives on which the volume is created will be displayed in the section below.</p>
<p>If issues have occurred to a volume or if you want to change the settings of a volume, select the volume and click <strong>Go To Server</strong>. This action will direct you to the corresponding server's <strong>Storage Manager</strong>, where you can view and modify the settings of the volume.</p>
<h2>Drive</h2>
<p>The <strong>Drive</strong> tab displays the information of the HDD and SSD installed in the managed servers, including information regarding $_DSPRODUCTNAME_$ model, storage capacity, temperature, status, and more.</p>
<p>If issues have occurred to a drive or if you want to view the details of a drive, select a drive and click <strong>Go To Server</strong>. This action will direct you to the corresponding server's <strong>Storage Manager</strong>, where you can manage the drive.</p>
<h2>Shared Folder</h2>
<p>The <strong>Shared Folder</strong> tab displays the shared folder information on each managed server, including name, description, status, and the volume on which each shared folder is created.</p>
<p>If you want to change the settings of a shared folder, select a folder and click <strong>Go To Server</strong>. This action will direct you to <strong>Control Panel</strong> on the managed server, where you can view and modify the settings of the shared folder.</p>
<div class="section"><h4>Note:</h4>
<ul>
<li>If a managed server runs on a DSM version earlier than DSM 7.0, then its volume status and drive status shown in <strong>Central Management System</strong> may not be completely identical with those shown in the server’s <strong>Storage Manager</strong>.</li>
<li>If a server is in <strong>Connection unavailable</strong> status, then its volumes, drives, and shared folders shown in the <strong>Storage</strong> page will be grayed out and the status shown refers to the last status before the server lost connection.</li>
<li>The CMS Host can sign in to its managed servers via the <strong>Go To Server</strong> button only when the PC used for operating the CMS Host can connect to the managed server. You can refer to <a href="https://kb.synology.com/DSM/tutorial/Cannot_sign_in_to_managed_server_from_CMS_Host" target="_blank">this article</a> for troubleshooting if you cannot sign in to the managed servers from the CMS Host's <strong>Go To Server</strong> button.</li>
