<h1>Synology Application Service</h1>
<p>Synology Application Service enhances functionalities such as push notifications and profile settings for collaboration packages. Configurations can be shared across various packages.</p>
<h2>Getting Started</h2>
<h4>To launch Synology Application Service:</h4>
<ol>
<li>Go to <strong>Package Center</strong>.</li>
<li>Go to <strong>All Packages</strong> > <strong>Synology Application Service</strong> > <strong>Install</strong>.</li>
</ol>
<div class="section"><h4>Note:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Synology Application Service is automatically installed when installing Drive, MailPlus, Chat, Calendar, and Contacts.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Viewing the Supported Features</h2>
<p>Synology Application Service provides the following services for collaboration packages. These may vary depending on the package. Refer to <a href="https://kb.synology.com/DSM/help/SynologyDrive/drive_desc" target="_blank">Drive</a>, <a href="https://kb.synology.com/DSM/help/MailClient/mailplus_desc" target="_blank">MailPlus</a>, <a href="https://kb.synology.com/DSM/help/Chat/chat_desc" target="_blank">Chat</a>, <a href="https://kb.synology.com/DSM/help/Calendar/calendar_desc" target="_blank">Calendar</a>, and <a href="https://kb.synology.com/DSM/help/Contacts/contacts_desc" target="_blank">Contacts</a> help articles for details.</p>
<h3>Notifications</h3>
<p>Enable email, mobile device, and browser notifications to receive new messages or alerts even when you're not actively using the packages. </p>
<div class="section"><h4>Note:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Browser push notifications are supported on Chrome, Firefox version 46 and above (HTTPS only), and Safari.</li>
<li>The push notification extension can't be paired in Firefox if the browser setting is set to <strong>Never remember history</strong>.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Profile Settings</h3>
<p>Profile updates (e.g., profile photo, nickname, email account, personal description, and preferred display language) on a package are automatically applied to other packages.</p>

<ul>
<li>You can back up user profiles and settings via Hyper Backup.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Email Account</h3>
<p>Add and edit email accounts while using the packages even if you don't have access to DSM.</p>
<h3>App Launcher</h3>
<p>Easily switch between Drive, MailPlus, Chat, Calendar, and Contact from their user interfaces by clicking the App Launcher icon, without the need to return to DSM.</p>
<div class="section"><h4>Note:</h4>
<ul>
<li>When accessing a package through <strong>Control Panel</strong> > <strong>Login Portal</strong> > <strong>Applications</strong> settings, only packages with a customized port and domain will appear on the App Launcher.</li>
<li>When opening packages from <strong>DSM</strong> > <strong>Main Menu</strong>, all packages will appear on the App Launcher.</li>
