My Process
I’ve standardized on an approach to find relatives or friends who, based on their birth year, may still be alive. That approach involves the following activities and research:
- Using Ancestry.com and Familysearch.org, focusing on the person to be located
- Developing that tree back to at least the 1930s
- Researching Newspaper archives for the state(s) that they likely lived in
- Scouring the Find-A-Grave website for possible records of parents or siblings that might reference the person being located
- Researching White Pages using a Professional Edition subscription
- Researching City directories if I know the name(s) of cities they may have lived in
- Identifying and communicating with family members who might lead me to the person
- Analyzing School Yearbooks for clues
- Searching FaceBook and LinkedIn
- Searching using Google Search
- Creating customized Excel spreadsheets that are used to clarify differences between people with identical names
- Reading the detail in obituaries of their parents, siblings, and/or children
The flat fee for a successful search, no matter how long it takes me, is $ 650. The fee is not due until after I deliver the Search Results to you and you are completely satisfied. There is no financial risk on your part. You pay me after, not before.
